At Maloney and Keady Opticians and contact Lens centre we offer a mobile eyecare service. When someone is in need of an eye examination and/or spectacles we can come to them and test them on site at home. We have equipment that is portable so we can set up an on site opticians offering a full eye examination.

This will include assessment of vision for distance and near, health checks of the external and internal eye structures, pressure assessment of the eye as part of the glaucoma screening procedure.

Many more tests can also be carried our such as colour vision screening and depth perception assessment. We offer a comprehensive eye examination.

This service is useful to those who find it difficult to make a visit to our practices. Maybe you have a lot of work or time demands, are house bound, are limited in mobility or live too far from an opticians. Don't worry we can help you. We specialise in visits to nursing or residential homes or your own home.

We are registered with the health board so we can offer a test on the medical card if you have one. We are also registered with the panel of opticians offering eye examinations to those who pay PRSI.

We carry a broad range of frames with us for you to view. When you pick the one you like we will make your glasses and then delivery them back to your door. They will be fitted to your comfort and satisfaction.

EYECARE AT WORK

(for VDU users and safety spectacle requirements)

Employers and companies can benefit from this service to help the organisation to comply with legal requirements. Under EU directives all VDU users require a visual assessment. Maloney Keady Opticians will bring an optometrist onsite to screen all VDU users.

The optometrist is on hand to prescribe any spectacle correction and advise on corrective lenses. Our dispensing optician will offer a range of frames to choose from and spectacles can be arranged for the VDU users.

We can offer a range of options on frames and lenses including safety spectacles. Again we will delivery them to your office or factory and staff working schedules have the minimum disruption.

As an employer or manager you can appreciate that this service is designed to allow your staff to perform their jobs with the minimum disruption to their daily routine. Thus you save staff time and any disruption to your work routine.
